Travis, Joe and Jason have taken my dreams for our condo and turned them into reality. I asked them to cover my 20' X 20' wall with shelves that would provide space for every size book, album and bottle of wine in my home. I also wanted the structure to include some general storage and a library ladder. Then I said, could you build an entertainment center that would accommodate an enormous television and all my husband's audiophile components and hide all the wires? The result is absolutely amazing. The project turned out much better than I ever could have imagined. Jason was extremely helpful in getting us the original plans and selling us on this beautiful Ipe wood. I am totally impressed with both the look and sturdiness of the wood. The crew is methodical and it is obvious they take pride in their work. In addition to obtaining all necessary permits and approvals from the city and our Homeowner’s association, they took pains to ensure that the deck would be able to sustain certain weights and loads . They took the extra time to make sure every hole was drilled, countersunk, and screwed in on my deck. They also finished the deck well within the original budget. Never in my life have I met more professional, honest, trustworthy, helpful and clean workers. They did an outstanding job, always left the worksite neat and tidy and were absolutely wonderful to deal with. The other amazing thing was that neither of them ever smoked or swore while on site. What a wonderful refreshing change. They were very polite, friendly and totally self sufficient. I kept offering them a soda or coffee but they always said no thank you and drank what they brought or just drank water. The whole process from design, to building permit to ordering materials and watching them construct my lovely new deck was really a lot of fun. It has been a real pleasure doing business with you and be assured that I will pass your name around. You provided unbelievably quick service and patiently tolerated our many questions. Jones, Esquire Travis and his partners at Catalyst just completed a building repair project at my office ... not a big job, but one that desperately needed doing, and I was not up to the task. We had spoken about it recently and he followed up when an opening in his scheduled came up unexpectedly. I jumped at the chance to get it done, and it was over in a day. He had a materials list put together from our talk; he and the materials arrived early, his partners were there shortly thereafter ... by noon the demo and heavy repairs were over, and by mid-afternoon the work was pretty much done, but they spent additional time detailing and finishing things beyond what I expected them to wrap-up. A thorough clean-up by them ... I've got a little painting to do and my office is working again.
Excellent job - quick and efficient - knew just what to do when we found more wood to repair than expected, and it all was done in the same amount of time. Travis worked for me some time ago, as a photographer, but I'm very impressed with his business skills and expertise as a contractor / remodeler. His Catalyst Construction team got my small job done in no time, and I had just photographed a top notch remodel project that they recently completed - fantastic!
My wife and I hired Travis, Joe and Jason (Catalyst) about six months ago to remodel two of our bathrooms and build a linen closet. This was a major undertaking as it involved heavy demolition down to the studs, blowing out/reworking some walls and installing a new plumbing stack. Plus all-new bath plumbing and electric, tile, fixtures, walls, ceiling, lights, subflooring, shower pan (and glass) and cabinetry. Both baths were gutted but for the tub. Oh...and they switched out a couple of windows as well. The end result is beautiful. Catalyst did an excellent job. We love our new bathrooms (and a master shower I can actually turn around in without hitting my elbows on the walls). Not to mention our closet which was much needed and is just plain solid. We would not hesitate to use and/or recommend Travis, Joe and Jason again. They have also been prompt with warranty service due to winter temperature changes, etc. Besides all of this, they are simply three of the nicest, most personable guys with whom you will ever work. In 2010, we decided to build a new house and chose Catalyst Construction, LLC as the general contractor. We have a hard time visualizing what things will look like by just looking at a drawing or blueprints. We furnished Travis with the style of home we liked and the square footage that we could afford. He provided us with many ideas for designing our new home and personalized the design with features such as a massive custom hall cabinet, a huge walk-in pantry, a boot bench at the kitchen entrance from the garage; stacked cabinets in the master bathroom; a window seat with drawers in the master bedroom; and a storm room under the front porch. As building progressed Jason, Joe or Travis was there every day to monitor the progress and come up with solutions to any issues that arose. Their creative solutions and unique expertise made the task of building a home as worry and stress-free as possible. The estimates for building materials, labor and the time to complete our home were very accurate. Even with all of the weather elements against us, lots of snow and an extraordinary amount of rainfall (over 30 inches), our home was completed in 111 days. They broke ground on March 10, 2010 and we moved into our new home on June 30, 2010. We are extremely pleased with our new house and are proud to say it is a Catalyst Construction, LLC home.
